I stood on my porch and watched the trees
birds twittered and tweeted their melodies
squirrels scampering down to grab acorns
quickly disappearing to stash them til morn
sun half hidden behind clouds, but blue skies
37 % weather for us in Ca. a big surprise
had to stay out,wanted to see the Sierra's
can see the snow caps when view is clear
looking at my micro world I like what I see
I count my blessings and give thanks happily
Thanks for the giant pines that blow my mind
Thanks for moments of peace that I find
Thankful I can feel, hear, smell, taste, see
Thankful He surrounds us with such beauty
I thank each one of you for reading my work,for all the wonderful comments that keep me so encouraged,your example of friendship and family, I pray each one is as blessed as I am with the poet family here

Being thankful, fulfills a deep relationship with God, and so it gives us spiritual nourishment along with all the others, but if you can, save me a piece of turkey, matter of fact save me the whole turkey. I saved a turkeys life this year, it cost me thirty bucks, I am thankful that I could, she was from farm sanctuary in New York State. Did you know Eileen, that eating to much Turkey, can make you blind, I didn't either ha, Hugs! and Blessings! Jasmin Horst
