Lonely Teardrops

Sometimes we forget the little things that drew us to our true love and we wonder why feelings dwindle away after time, why we just let it fade. Why would we lay awake with lonely teardrops to comfort us, if the love we once knew was really gone. Now and then we need a reminder that love is a feeling and not just a word to say.

Lonely Tears

It’s an easy peaceful understanding,
Between two that can be at times demanding,
Often no concern of the other’s heart,
And soon a friendship has to part.

Creating an atmosphere with attitude,
Soon forgotten with little gratitude,
A relationship once full of affection,
Left in lonely tears caused from rejection.

Only one choose to compromise,
While the other prefer to minimise,
That love, that peaceful understanding,
That ended when all became too demanding.

Hearts with words that once inspire,
Leaves an empty soul with no desire,
No concern for the other’s heart,
Now true loves been torn apart.

What once was, won’t be again,
For only broken hearts remain,
Another concern, for another day,
For true loves left and gone astray.

No matter how hard one try’s,
They are left with lonely tears they cry,
No concern for the other’s heart,
Now two true loves are torn apart.

Well, lost my first comment to the ethernet bandit...lol...this is nice write and a reminder for me that nothing changes unless something changes. We all grow, some of us at different rates, yet I've learned not to linger when all I have is tears left. Life is to worth living to live like that. I weigh the odds yet becareful what you wish for I always say. Lady J

Your words are so true and touching, but such things do happen and we find we can survive and move on. Masterful!

Very sad but intense write dear sister, but true, love is something we must fight to keep and yes sometimes it appears almost useless but oh so often pays off in the long run. Everyone goes through a period that we take each other for granted and don't notice it.

Love you sis & God Bless

I'm resigned to it~ No use crying over what cannot be.
Sometimes we just have to settle for resignation and acceptance, then the powers that be, can work..

It is sad but true...even the best loves, the great loves, the loves we thought would never end, can become stagnant and the flames that once roared with passion all too soon become cold empty ashes. Maybe though if there is just that one spark glowing a small breeze and some fresh tinder can rekindle the flame that once was...so do not give up hope or it will be like throwing a bucket of water...dousing the flames of love for good...

Keep the love Rose,
hugs
