I looked into your eyes,
so alive was your smile,
Then time stood still,
As you sat so meek and mild.

Where are you,
Why do you look away,
Then time stood still,
As though you’ve gone astray.

I speak your name,
You look off into another direction,
Then time stands still,
I feel a little rejection.

I look into your eyes,
The love you hold is there,
Then time stands still,
Though you know I still care.

You tilt your head, you know me,
Maybe not by my given name,
You say that you should know me,
I know you’re not the blame.

I’ll be back tomorrow,
Maybe we can chat, if you aren’t ill
Maybe you’ll remember for a moment,
Before the time stands still.
