Filaments
of the elemental
brisk light of solitude
fallen into the palm of his hand
to open his eyes.
A cycle of necessity
broken
with a mere gesture
of elegant, old-fashioned dancing.
Unexpectedly hushed,
a crying wound
like the sound of sirens
moving away
in the early morning haze.
Repeated addictive melodies
silenced
by an imaginary heartbeat
becoming real.
And here he comes,
a little lighter,
his smile
restored like that
of a once damaged painting.
Maybe she's the only chrysalis
to know…
that a simple word she'd written
on a flying piece of paper,
caused a butterfly effect,
leaving an ink-spot
that colored his soul,
lastingly.
A little Emily, but not chinking poems, just letting a word here and there drift off with the wind to dance and land, and maybe change someone--I love it!--Charlie
unknown are the many impressions we make and the extent to which they can change lives. the words are brought together so much like a cocoon, growing and changing, a lasting impression upon the soul. quite a provocative offering....
An outstanding...intriguing write with exceptional imagery! Profound indeed, lingers on one's thoughts long after the read! Well done! Enjoyed!

Sublime in its delivery to parchment, SHARED METAMORPHOSIS transforms cocoon of enveloped creativity leading us through this mind-bender journey with otherworldly "feelers" of the soft-designed butterfly proboscis metamorphosis to quill...highly evolved poetry, Axilea...be well always...Blessed Be.
Very nice...your thoughts flow like the picture of words in which you hide the very essence of that which you wish for us to find...the simplicity of one who can capture another with but an inking of of one word and thus inking themselves upon them...
Outstanding imagery through the lines of "SHARED METAMORPHOSIS" gives this poem
the rank of excellence. It is a creatively stimulating inspiring composition.
I salute You, Poet.

I find this totally awesome, Axilea, and I am so impressed with your ability to express complex abstract thoughts with such fine, unique and concrete imagery. Creates wonderful surreal pictures in the mind and allows the imagination full rein whilst yet being grounded in your tangential ideas that are full of movement and life that can be felt and touched. I feel as though I have been given a magical mystery tour inside the heart and mind of a well-defined and fascinating character. You are gifted indeed. I will be able to dine out on this poem for weeks, and in particular your last two stanzas which I find provoking and very beautiful, having the very effect you speak of. Totally wonderful in execution and concepts. Thank you, love Kate xx
