There are two men
Who frequent my thoughts:
One is older,
Traditional,
And frankly sexual;
The other, younger,
Cultured,
A southern gentleman
Of quiet dignity
And strength.
One my heart does not pine for
Though my body joyfully responds
To his every command.
And the other?
His is the heart
My own wishes
Would meet me half way.
But he belongs to another,
A beautiful woman
With beautiful ways.
How can I possibly compete?
