Of people

For sins

I have

Acknowledged

And am seeking

To amend—

Where is

The justice?

Those with cause

Chose not

To appear,

They were

Content to accept

My repayment

As proposed,

So was it really

Necessary

To humiliate me

And make me feel

Even more

A loser

Than I already

Am?

Now I shudder

With the force

Of my emotions,

Trying hard to think

Rationally

And not react

In a way

That would only

Self-inflict

More harm.

I want to do

The right thing

But what incentive

Is there

When you’re given

No credit

For doing so?
