It's the end of a day
Wrought with pain
Stemming from interactions
With those whom
I am supposed
To trust.
Circumstances demand
That I toe their lines
And at this moment
I really have
No choice;
But, oh!
How I yearn
To tell them all
To go to hell
Before turning
On my heel
And walking away
Into a new life
Filled with contentment,
If not with outright
Happiness,
And some measure
Of success.
But for now I focus
On getting through
These challenging days
And trying to stay focused
On my dreams,
On what I want
Out of life.
Surely in time
I will achieve them.
