What do I want
From love?
Why, respect,
Of course,
And honesty,
And devotion;
But just as important,
For me, anyway,
Is an interest in
The person that I am,
Every facet,
Every nuance.
I am more than someone
Whose sole value lies
In her usefulness;
I need to know that
I am worth more
To someone than
What can be taken
From me.
Know me,
Know all that I am,
Don't pick and choose
What parts suit you best;
Accept me as I accept you,
That's all I really ask,
