That’s perfectly fine, dear mortal,,
I’m a God who’s touchy and feely;
And the essence ‘Time’ is a creature of mine
Which I give or take quite freely!

 So if you’ve got some questions

Just go ahead, please do,

I’ll be glad to share My wisdom

Starting with What? And Why? And Who?”

PJT:
Thank you, Your Almightyship,
Your answer profound may well be
The definitive guide to our reason for being:
What’s the Meaning of Life, pray tell me!

 GA:
There’s no mystery:  I’ll put it quite simply,
(Though you must come down from your shelf:
To reflect on these words that I utter to you)
The Meaning of Life:  Life itself!

To help you interpret this statement so deep,
Here's a question for you (please excuse):
Ten pleasure-filled years and death, or long life: 
Which of these two would you choose?

 PJT:
Without hesitation I’d choose long life
To take chances on failure or pain.
To know that in ten years I’d give up the ghost
Is something I can’t entertain!

GA:

Well, you’ve answered the question yourself, My friend
A life short and sweet’s not your plan;
For you Life’s meaning is ‘being alive’
And making good use of its span.”

(next question, please!)

PJT:
I have many more questions to ask You, O God,
But Times running short ; therefore I
Will stick to my format by putting to You
The question beginning with Why?.

Though the Bible describes You as gentle and caring
(For example, Your concern for a sparrow)
Your interest in wars, earthquakes, pandemics and such
Appears to be rather narrow.!

So,my penultimate question beginning with WHY? is
If caring and love’s Your intention,
WHY let diseases and disasters occur
Without Your Divine Intervention?”

 GA:
My Me! How naïve and thoughtless you are!
Know you not of My gift of free will?
That means you mortals are all on your own
Come good or cometh ill.

Your offered-up prayers may make you feel better,
And better I hope you'll be;
But if they don’t (and at times, sure, they won’t)
Don’t put the blame on me

You mindless mortals must try to learn
Though life on Earth can be jolly,
When things go awry as they quite often do
The cause is human folly!

(last question, please. Celestial choir practice time approacheth!)

PJT:
Of courseYou would know, Almightyship
Who You are is a complex question:
God , Jehovah, Allah etcetera,
(The list gives me indigestion!).

 GA:
I think they all know I AM WHO I AM.
The ages have borne such perceptions;
But man-made dogmas have muddied the pond
Such as religion and other conceptions!

And the Gershwins surely got it right
In a song that many would know:

‘The things that you’re liable to read in the Bible
Ain’t NECESSARILY so!’

Human thought and human beliefs
Are diverse as the stars in the night;
So whatever your approach to WHO I am
Will probably tend to be right.

My first creation was your universe
Followed by others in space
And then, over time, things freely evolved,
Including your human race.

So, when you ask Me who I am
I must answer truthfully:
I am whatever Force of Life
That YOU would like Me to be!
