Billy Got Runned Over By A Frait Train
By Salley Sue

Billy got runned over by a frait trane
walkin up the tracs on Christmas day
he was bout as drunk as a ole possum
and stumblin over ever which a way

he'd been drakin too much lightn
and we tole him to stay home
but like a sturburn drunkun redneck
Billy Boy jes had tha urge ta roam

when we found him late that evnin
out on the dark side of tha road
Billy wuz still singin old joe clark
but hez bout as flattened as a toad

Billy got runned over by a frait trane
walkin up the tracs on Christmas day
he was bout as drunk as a ole possum
and stumblin over ever which a way

now we"re all so proud a Billy
he aint teched a drop a likker sence
he still walks a litle funny
and yestarday he ran into tha fence

we got him a spacal presant
a whal cher and a candy cane
and the doc says he mite git beta
but then agin he mite neva be tha same

Billy got runned over by a frait trane
walkin up the tracs on Christmas day
he was bout as drunk as a ole possum
and stumblin over ever which a way

Billy neva used ta studder
but now he can't evan say hiz name
and afta a run in wif a frait trane
even rooster fites is seemin mitey tame

So larn a leson frum ole Billy
he shud a uzed cummon since and thunk
and not been a walkin up the trane tracs
on Christmas day when he wuz stinkin drunk

Billy got runned over by a frait trane
walkin up the tracs on Christmas day
he was bout as drunk as a ole possum
and stumblin over ever which a way
