I suppose few care what I think
but I still think
and some may find what I think
to be controversial, even blasphemous
Best kept to personal contemplation
Think, I must, write I must
To read, to consider, what I write....
you are under no obligation

Some believe him to be too holy
to want or know conjugal love
I think of him as holy
Warmest, most passionate man
who had no shame toward that which
his Father ordained as “Good”

She sheltered him in her heart
in her arms, from a world
that was unworthy of him
If she did not understand all things
he revealed to her in whispers
it mattered not, for he was her world

Seven deposed devils left an emptiness
within her spirit only he could fill
with the beauty, the glory of all he was
The scriptures say he was without sin
but marriage is honorable in all
and the bed undefiled

Undefiled the intimacy of such love
Hallowed ground the Judean hillside
where they prayed , loved and slept
He showed her every moment
how God intended man to cherish woman
She responed with total devotion

Men he loved, betrayed him, denied him
but she stood at the foot of the cross
silently, helplessly watching him die
knowing sacrifice was his chosen path
she wept but kept her silence

She could not leave him alone in death
his beloved body to decay with no spices
No stone, no tomb, could separate them
Death would never come between them
and her servant’s heart of love
So she went alone to mourn and anoint
his body with oils and spices

The first to see him, glorified
hear him tenderly comfort her
call her name, “Mary. do not weep.
Go tell my brethren I have risen”
Friend, Lover, Apostle To Apostles….
