FROM MY BOOK "CHRISTMAS TAILS"

The Christmas Tree By La Belle Rouge The Christmas Tree looked down There were no gifts beneath him He felt the beginning of a frown Sadness began to sweep him But by the fireside Sat a father and a mother A little girl and a little boy huddled under a blanket�s cover The Christmas tree felt so bad There would be no toys this year The thought of it made him so sad the Christmas Tree shed a tear He noticed then, to his surprise expressions of joy on all their faces and the look of love in their eyes filled up all the empty spaces The Christmas Tree learned that night that the greatest gifts are free Like what we feel in our family�s love And the light in the faces we see 2010 La Belle Rouge

It captures the true spirit of Christmas, Belle...after all, the gifts come from within and they are the most precious free willed presents we can give and receive of another. And to think, it was only tree... wait til it gets to be a whole forest! Excuse the punishing pun, and the sappy slogan: never lose sight of the forest for the trees. Now I'm done. Keep writing those lovely poems, please! Merry Christmas.
