"Poodle Love"

A Fairytail

Long ago and far away
in the "Royal Kingdom Of Curls”
there lived a fine-looking princess
who wore a pink dress embellished with pearls
Her long hair was braided up tightly and worn
on top of her head like a shiny crown
and though it was blessed with curls
the poor princess was forbidden to wear it down
Her father, The Great King, thought it sinful
for to display the wavy beauty of her hair
She walked through life filled with strife
finding no adventure there
Then one day, in that land far away
The Pink Poodle Fairy flew in her window
“Hello,” said she, “ ’ Tis so easy for me to see
you’re all dressed up with not one place to go”
The fairy was stunning with pink ears, purple legs
She was openly, completely curly all over
A creature free like Her Highness longed to be
as over the pensive princess Penelope hovered
for that was her name, “Penelope” Pink Poodle
with such elegance and style beyond compare
She assured the Princess life would change
if she would only let down her hair
“Now Princess, don’t get me wrong,”
Penelope yawned, “Your daddy is a great man
but still living in medieval times can’t understand
that olden days and ways they are a changing
renaissance is here, there’s no real need to fear
a revolution of modern, curly hair rearranging”
She pulled out staid braids, let silken curls fall
to her waist as she ran joyfully through the hall
with Penelope The Pink running close by her side
When the King saw her hair, he then dared declare
“If any churl speak evil of her curls I’ll have him deepfat fried “
What a beautiful fantasy fun story! La Belle!
