A hand of love reaches out to touch me
A playful grin crosses your face.
Remembered times, tightly clasped to me
As memories my mind can trace.
The musical part of me comes from you
Remembered dancing you did so well.
Songs that you always sang with us
As we took rides as night time fell.
I miss those times, I miss the closeness
A better dad no one ever had.
Growing older memories flood back
Not feeling your warm hugs, so sad.
You held our family close together
We loved to come home to meet.
It's hard to face that granite above you
But easy to see you at angels feet.
