I. Do. NOT! Know where this came from. LOL Wrote it as I got it.

... Salmon colored blooms wilt and die from lack of love-- do not tell me it's age that causes them to melt like butter; do not tell me this happens as we get older. How can this be? They were beautiful, once, these breasts, these nipples that flashed like lightning, that shone like the sun, that peeked out from behind clouds at your touch. But the storm has blown over; the sun, set; night stuffs them back into my bra, to be seen no more. Damn this getting ... old.
Enjoyed this my friend, made me smile...loved all the comments below as well...they've said so much, I can't think of anything to add to this, well except my mom will love this one!
Blessings,

Karla, Just as you muse made me smile, some of the comments made me laugh. I think Richard said it best to encourage. I wish many of us women here's ex s felt the same way in their 40-50 years when the younger bodies looked much better to them. It's from experience that only age brings that eases these worries. In fact women, men have a harder time getting older through their 50-60 years then we do so somehow it balances out. Lady J
A summer night, no moon, just a dark sky full of stars, the wind playing a game of peekaboo under the skirt with a cold gust now and then to make the nipples visible under the silk.
Moistured lips, slightly open, waiting for the first evening kiss.
Yes, I got your poem, right and square in my brain and my heart.
A lovely one this one is.

My dear Karla,
I tell you from my heart, the heart of a man who has loved a woman with passion and emotion and tenderness for sixty years: These aging eyes see beauty and loveliness beyond the curve of flesh, beyond the temples of the gods. Getting old is only for the makers of calendars. Love triumphs all. I wish for every sad and lonely person the joy and love that I have had since almost forever. I wouldn't trade my life of growing old together for anything the world has to offer. The secret to contentment is wanting and loving what you have.
Any woman who writes with your sweet perception and soulful understanding of life needs only a gift from God to make her life complete. Be patient. Don't throw the package out until it's fully unwrapped. What you're seeing now is but the torn wrapping paper. Focus if you will, my dear, on the beauty of life, itself.
Your photograph is magnificent. But the value of the night is not in one quick flash, it's what you do with the hours you've been given. I've read much of your work. These few lines are not the Karla I have known. These words are merely the expressions of the moment. And life is more than a moment. Like the Phoenix, you will rise again and surpass history. Have faith. The best is yet to come!
B - E - A - U - T - I - F - U - L !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :))) Filled with all the aching and compassion of a women's body and heart, Karla. WE GIRLS OF A CERTAIN AGE KNOW FOR CERTAIN SURE WHERE THIS CAME FROM!!! And we thank you for it.... Even those of us who are mammarically challenged!! :)) Thank you for the courage you have displayed with this write... and the body-confidence to do it! Fabulous metaphor and imagery here. The nipples are positively INSPIRED and that is one-hot analogy! Should be published, thank you. Kate xx
LOL Karla, your muse is on a roll this morning! You may not know where this came from, but boy, this made for some entertaining reading! Thanks for the smiles you put upon my face; I enjoyed this! I loved the picture! BRAVA!
