Amazingly so did Jesus over 2000 years ago. His life so that we can have eternal life with Him. And yet, many turn their backs in unbelief. Will they not do the same for those who fight for our freedom here on earth? These poor wounded soldiers should be treated with more respect from their Governments. They should be greatly rewarded for their pain and suffering. Are they?

A friend of ours is down at the vet hospital PTMD right now, he was in Vietnam and the memories are starting to haunt him again, he certainly is a hero in our eyes,as are all who served here and abroad, I salute you as well...

How true, what a wonderful write with a powerful message! I have a little boy in my class whose dad is in the military...he's been in Iraq for sometime now! I was so excited when I answered a knock on my class door and it was his dad coming to pick him up! Imagine how he felt, when I called his name and their was his dad standing there! It was a beautiful moment!

Well said, Karla. All of us who have never served in the armed forces can not fathom what the veterans feel or comprehend the emormity of a vicious battle. All veterans should be applauded for their bravery and held high with deep regard. It is my prayer for all the soldiers to come home to be with their families and have peace in their lives and souls. God bless them all.

And, when they come home, try to understand that they went through hell and back, have seen their buddies blown to pieces, the ugliest face of humanity. Try to understand they cannot talk about it, but should. Try to understand what their mothers, wifes, lovers went through while they were in a far-off land, fighting for the freedom of others. Try to hear them, try to hold them, try to help them cry all the tears they are now drowning in. Try to help them come back to life and live again.

WOW. That last stanza says it all. We need to learn to thank our brave men and women who answered "The Call" to defend our country, and our country is better off because OF them. Thank you, dear sister, for doing YOUR part. You may not feel you served, but honey, you did. You volunteered to go into the service. You did your job to the best of your ability until you were injured. For that I am eternally grateful. God bless you, dear Karla! You are a real life heroine!
