My heroes: Daddy and his four brothers who went to war.
Five went to war; five came home; my Daddy, his brothers: heroes, all. Two Navy, two Air Force, one Army, one a survivor of Bataan. Over the years they died one by one, 'til only the youngest was left of the Honor Guard: my Daddy. They served their Nation well; for that, I am grateful.
It is such a disgrace that some people can talk trash or abuse our Men and Women who have given their service or their lives to protect our Freedom! Regardless of right or wrong decisions made in the White house! They served and were willing to give their lives for "us"!
I come from a military family as well, and my uncle made it home from Vietnam, which is why those who disrespect our troops so much make me so angry, as always you write a beautiful write here

Nice tribute..Look up Rushen Castle, and you'll see my dad in the RN in WW2..... We all owe our lives to Mr Churchill, and his brains...
I don't often get time to look for long at AD but you have been a great support to me, Karla as has Karen..such brave and lovely girls. I enjoyed this very much as my Dad was a RAF man and fought in the War. Also loved, loved the very feeling poems about your faith in God, simple, and from the heart. I want to hug you. Lorri
