... It has a hunger, ....

A black maw yawns overhead,
a darkness filled with rotten
teeth gumming the blue from the
sky, bit by bit, piece by piece.

It has a hunger, this storm
approaching from the north, the
one with an insatiable
appetite for things below -

it will not be satisfied
until it picks us up with
fingers of wind - hors d'oeuvres to
be snacked on at its leisure.

Brilliant!! How like you to take a highly creative approach to a
common subject, thus notching interest up and. . .er. . .blowing us away.:) Not only would it make hors d'oeuvres of everyone in its path, be dry as sticks 'time it got through. Scattered all over

I picture myself on a little serving platter as the fingers of the air pluck me up like a tasty hors d'oeuvres, and chomp, then swallow me up...but, then it burped...LOL!
Your imagery is outstanding and so creative!
