Poem Artwork

... she always read out of the
big book of poems she got
when she was a little girl,
keeping me pressed to the
bosom of her voice, thick

with love.  I sighed, content,
knowing full well she would
pick up where she left off:
resting in the comfort of her
arms, I drifted off to sleep ...

This is such a wonderfully warm and touching moment that one can defiantely see a small girl cuddled up to her mother perhaps in front of a fire place as the mother read stories...very nicely done Karla, one of your best.

KARLA - this flows slowly and sweetly, like the Honey of Love!

"... pressed to the bosom of her voice ..."

Good Mommies tend to possess this Quality.

Warmth, Tenderness, Trust - all instilled by sheer instinct.

Peace - Tom.
