... forget the land!, of planting
feet in permanence: i want to
move with the sky. one day
azure clarity, the next, a storm
blowing chaotic from the north:
and always, always, fever'd
hope scorch'd alizarin against
the setting sun or sliding down
prism'd shoulders of a rainbow ...
I have often thought the same, especially these days. And what an adventure it would be. The closest I've come is hot-air ballooning, but wings would be much better!
Your sky sounds so exciting. Our sky here seems to be blue most of the time (for the past week that is!) Last week it was also stunning and I was at the beach every day. I love to find shapes in the clouds especially right before a storm. They are so cool!
Nice photo, Karla.

Mary Angela Nangini's poems celebrate the richness of life and love. From the city to cottage-country and the roads in between, Nangini explores the changing seasons of her varied region. (This book will soon be reprinted in hard cover.)

I will say this about Texas: as much as I don't like it here, I do love her skies, stormy or otherwise (except for hot or funnels! LOL)!
