Poem Artwork

the sadness of being a Poet:
having lived,
having felt the pain
i write about. ...

and the joys of being a Poet?
having lived
and survived the pain
i write about.

a poet's soul rides on the waves of their human experiences -- nestled neatly upon pages of scribed emotions -- you have said it well Karla -- peace and love my dear friend -- Jon Michael

I love this! This is what writing is all about to me as well. There's a lesson hidden here. :)

True words indeed. With the added bonus that the joys also include the happyness, crazyness, and spontaneity that life offers up to write about. Patrick

Great Picture, Karla--it's adorable! :)

The poetry keeps us alive, those of us who were born with no skin and too many nerves. Beautifully said. hugs--

They say a poet is only as good as the pain they've accumulated through life. You keep writing and be happy.

This is fantastic!! I love this one. Another one for the Wall. It reminds me of the: "we don't regret the past, nor wish to shut the door on it" line. One of my favorites from you. Nice work.

The frustrations and the blessings are clearly evident in these strong lines! And you, my dear, are definitely, a survivor! Very well penned, Karla, and I LOVE the piccy! Brava!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your twin, Karen Lynn. :D

Ab-so-lutely! I can readily understand what is being said here, and said in a very good way, about the slings and arrows about each of our unique life's. It is what we draw upon and submit it to the world . . .
