You make a formidable duo, Karla, because you don't flinch from pulling your punches and send them straight down the line. I admire that. But sod it... Copenhagen's the only thing I'm concerned about at the moment. We're at least lucky to have land to cling to and clean water to drink from where we're sitting, belching out all our waste and sending other nations to their doom... At least us lot are the lucky, living fools... and not dead ones at the moment... xxx

The country is in a death-spiral. There's no more productive economy to loot. Only thing left is to pick the pockets of the people left with any money. And this is exactly what they intend to do. It will become full-blown tyranny before long. Thank God! Because then and only then will the scales fall from our eyes. Then and only then will we be forced into the solution, instead of being part of the problem. And the problem is that good people do nothing. The only thing required for tyranny to take root. These are the worst of times, these are the best of times. Keep the faith.
Well this is a good way to make a strong political statement Karla and the only good thing about a storm is that sooner or later they always blow over and the calm returns lets hope this is the case with this as well.

Much of the weight of your poem rests on the last line "but oh, no. It's too late for shelter! Too heavy indeed. We should pay heed to weather warnings.
