Poem Artwork

the way you play with words!
you cuddle them every morning,
take them in your hands and, with a kiss,
love them onto the page, setting them free --

-- your babies.  the ones born
in the darkness, the ones nurtured
by your tears, the ones you never thought
would live, live.  they look just like their Mother

---- not So.plain.  they have a
beauty that comes from the Heavens;
they have wisdom far beyond their tender
years; and yet, there is a sadness in their lines

---- and i am undone once more.

I thought of the tender edges of a rose, slightly browning and curled. . . I thought of tender petals unfolding, attracting us to its center...I pictured the babes, who resemble their mother, blooming before their time for a reason...every rose has its fragrance...this poem, especially

indeed s.he needs to ex.plain.
I'm in awe of nessies work. And I hear she's coming to these wee fortress isles.
The babe has been on here awhile yet many seem to miss out on her stunningly clever work and way with the lexicon.

Sometimes, having a literary constipation for a while will clear the way for a most delicate inspiration, the one that hails a peer's ability to move us to tears.

What a lovely tribute, Karla. A poet lives to touch someone as Blue has done you. This reminds me of a Chinese saying that I can't quote exactly, but states that the lotus' exquisite beauty springs from the mud. Blessings...Lin

Such an apt metaphor and tribute, Karla - and the oh-so-appropriate picture is breathtaking. Contains all the fragrant beauty of early-morning dew on the perfect rose. An immortal capture to be cherished - and we do, both Anessa and your darling buds of words! Bless you, xx

Such a beautiful and tender tribute to a force that's to be reckoned with here at the Den: nothing so.plain about Blue's children, as you call her words! Very nice; well done! BRAVA, Karla!
