Twin sis and I helped feed the Veterans at the Golden Corral last night for Military Appreciation Monday (M.A.M.). Even though we don't work there anymore, when the boss asked us if we'd help out, we said, 'Yes, M.A.M.'. =]
Service and sacrifice
stood side by side, from the
greatest generation
until now. Heroes, all.
The only thing missing
were those who've passed before:
their names on everyone's
lips, brothers and sisters
remembered in moments
of silence and shining
in the eyes. Honored to
shake history's hands and
welcome the ones who came
home with a hug --- thank you,
Veterans, for making
my evening more special.
