Sitting on this jetty
On moist gneiss and granite
On snow covered plateaus
Of form and substance
Catching my attention
To the movement
Of solid transparencies
As I wonder
How this experience
Can never be spoken
And how the intent of perspective
Can ever be illustrated
I just accept it as a futile necessity
In actuality
I cannot prevent myself
From exchanging
What I have been given
Or refuse the wonder and excitement
Of allowing to be taken
And deployed
I've been out sauntering in my crawlspace mind and I've felt perspective like a torn afghan. Thank you for saying, in time - at times, what I almost completely fail to express.
Hmmmm... wonder if this is your Waiting Arms jetty? And with the twin ribbons of the comments of Sage and Eileen, reckon they have tied these thoughts together beautifully! "Torn between the burden and the gift (mystics) ponder their worth even as they embrace the honour" - seems spot on to me and this comment goes through me like a knife through butter. Certainly, in terms of personal essence - which is fluid, I think - once we have dispensed drops of ourselves into the liquids of other lives, there is no possibility of being able to take back that of ourselves or our "message" that has been given, and indeed, some sort of metaphysical constitutional change has thus taken place - like a dye permeating water. Love the notion of "deployment" too: an unusual "militaristic" metaphor given the soft-edge in the context, perhaps, of meaning to spread out evenly. Guess you have filtered yourself well into the atmosphere on your own page this evening, Senor! And is that Stonehenge in sight down the end, there? :)) No wonder I can relate... this is only Day 4... I shall become a total liability by day 21...

Who could resist sharing such wonder :-)? Love the photo. Thank you for sharing this moment with us.
Snow on the beach, not something I have ever experienced since the West Coast beaches never have that. What a beautiful place for breathing in your thoughts and for feeling a peace and closeness with all the universe. The roll of the tide is a constant reminder that life is motion and that what we experience this moment will never be exactly the same again. What a wonderful place for ponderings and making wishes and recalling those that were granted in the past. This is such a personal poem that I felt as though I was sneaking a peek into your soul while you were sitting quietly watching the waves. Excellent, deep and defining write, Jude. Beautiful photo also.
Take care,
Sherry

The footprints show that others have been there too. Who knows from what perspective they viewed the same scene? What did they contemplate and how were they then deployed?
It's places like this where deployment is an intriquing and wonderful experience. One can be ruler of their own kingdom or the pauper on the cobblestone streets. Every rock a potential lover or at least the dream and wish of the perfect relationship. Then as quick as a blink of an eye..we are back readying ourselves for another and different journey.
Thank you Jude for allowing the rest of us to sit upon your jetty.
This is enticing and mysterious. Sometimes we just have to be alone and live in the moment. There is no way to communicate or share our experience with another. I would really like to hear you read this. Are you going to do anymore readings on AD?
You seem to have gotten a bit more snow & it stayed around a bit longer, as ours is all but gone...a good place there on that jetty to wrestle with interior demons and find exterior angels to write about...Ed & RUFUZ
the weight of the unique mission which we have each been given can often feel isolating and the act of surrendering enough to allow for deployment can prove mammoth. yet, even in quiet moments of reflection, there is something of the awe-some wondrous mystery of it all. this interpretation may not be entirely true to your intent in "Deployed," Jude, but I can certainly identify with the inevitable temptation to want to trade my journey for another's or to return to familiar resistance. and, btw, nice photo and what an amazing place to sit and ponder it all. A landing place for you to put yourself out there on nature's front lines. This is the main ritual centre, this photograph, which correlates with sacred alignment. Deployment uses its ritual path such as how the pilgrims every winter used ley lines originating in ancient times as a network of landmarks to guide travelers, beacons to mark courses. Ley lines are recognized at Delphi, Athens, and Delos in Greece. Most are sited on prominent outcrops. They are ancient sites of megalithic monuments, churches (Salisbury Cathedral in Wiltshire) holy wells, and cairns through the English countryside, St. Michaels line in Avebury, Wiltshire.
Jude, this is a web of physical and spiritual energy running through the terrestrial landscape and ultimately aligning with the stars.
Mystics will always find things that cannot be shared nor can they ignore the gift of enlightenment as it continues to grow within them. Torn between the burden and the gift they ponder their worth even as they embrace the honor . Finding places that are imbued with spiritual essence it becomes their fueling station. Yours is the ocean and its surroundings. Your photo is an image of the altar where you worship, beautifully captured...
