Excellentay. Strains of the Jude Of Old in this one - perhaps, as it's a rewrite, not surprising. Earth does pray - in moans and groans and birthing pangs, as we all too well know at the moment. LOVE LOVE LOVE Patrick's comment!! :) Reminds me of my Cathedral Rock poem and photo from 2009. xx

Great symbiotic photo and poem.

If the earth could have hemorrhoids it would be us. As a student of earth sciences it is worth noting that in the end we will be gone and the damage we've done will be corrected in ways we cannot imagine, dipshits that we are.

I believe the earth will continue to evolve long after we are gone. By "gone" I would say that either we would cause our own demise or leave the planet in peace. The Earth does not pray, but it evolves according to what the sun does, and no amount of human praying will change that.

If only earth could pray for itself, it would probably pray to be rid of we human parasites and destroyers. I often pray for earth, but it doesn't seem to do much good.

Ditto on the photo for me, Jude. If the earth could pray for herself, what would she really ask for? Healing? Respect? To be left alone? To be cherished as one would cherish their mother? Ask us to be the caregivers of all that lives through her? Perhaps she would simply ask to be understood. You have planted a seed of thought for me, Jude. I like this poem very much. Prayers work only when humans know the value of the earth and treasure our lands. Destruction would often come when greed sets in. The reason why there are so many sink holes now on the earth's surface is because people keep drawing things out from the earth's core, leaving space within, and causing sinkholes and disfigurement to the surface.
