Reality can be quite earth shattering when it comes to love.

Thunderous Exiting

by Amber "V" Moonstone

7/22/08

Standing on the balcony
awaiting your arrival
darkness enveloping my smile

I peer into the distant forest
there are barren trees
listening to lover's pleas.

Contemplation of being left
alone in the murk of darkness
pondering what went amis.

You are not coming this night,
I can feel it in my soul,
Your absence is out of my control.

You belong to another,
reality is quite clear,
tonight, you will not be here.

As the thunder rolls in,
The clouds fill my heart
with pelting raindrops that start

to fill me from deeply within
the recesses of a lover's tomb
where happiness has no room.

You have left me once again,
vowing cursed sorrow
leaving me with thunder for tomorrow.

I shall stand here steadfast,
reveling in the rolling thunderous night,
forsaking your lover's bite!
