Tender Mercy On My Soul

by Amber "V" Moonstone

5/15/09

Tender mercy on my soul,
so much hurt that took a toll.
Still sitting waiting for your embrace
knowing time shall never erase

All the pain that I had to endure
finding never one single cure
For Love was twisted on so tight
making me hang on with all my might.

Obsession became a daily dose
keeping your love very close

when on one night it became very clear
that love turned into irrational fear.

You deceived and lied to my face,
telling of one after another disgrace
How can love be so blind
to not see through your kind.

I took the bottle of sleeping pills
and took out my paper and writing quills,
determined to make you pay for my pain
I ended the letter with tearful rain.

The sick joke was on me,
for the bottle turned out to be,
filled with exlax laxative pills
which started the bathroom drills.

Tender mercy on my soul,
Pain that has taken a toll,
now remains in the bowels of hell,
because I have lived to tell!

author's notes:  Not quite sure where this came from,
but it was channeled from somewhere!  Just a head's up, it is not about me.

Much peace, love, and light,

Amber "V"

(snicker....snicker....) that was so heavy
then BAM! lol
I Love Your Humor....well the end seems funny to me....
not that suicide is funny at all....
nor is deception, but at least it is better to know
than to be blind & decieved by anyone I say
Much Love

Excellent writing. It came from your poetic mind. Writers always have so much going on in our head. Things just pop up that we need to write about. That's why we are poets.

Love the humorous twist. Quite unexpected in the middle of a sad situation. Hugs,

Interesting and it was a twist.
Guess who ever did that will never try that again.

All the best to you Amber,

I am very glad that this is not about you, Amber. Sadly, the theme that you deal with here is not uncommon in this world/life. Love and best wishes to you,

Regis

I think this sort of thing happens all to often. A lady whom I did not know set herself on fire because of a pain so deep she saw no cure. She passed away, alone and unrecognizable. Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem. Excellent penning here. Hugs, J'nia

Wow your poem brought back memories
Of a time I played a sick joke on my friends
At work, they would always take my chocolate candy
From my drawer where we kept our things
So I took the wrapper of a pkg of chocolate exlax
And left the silver paper only
When back open my drawer and it was all gone
I don't think I need to tell you what happened next
We still friends and we still laugh about it lol
Love your thoughts in this brilliant piece!!
Sending you Peace Love and Light...Yolie

The sixth stanza (not the sick stanza) was fantastic!....I felt like I was laughing in church. And laughed again at the bowels of Hell line. This was too true to life to have been channeled from somewhere but I'll trust you on that one! Life can be so cruel at times and then again and sometimes the irony is so preposterous that we can't help laughing. Very Good Amber and just the poem for someone feeling distraught over a relationship.

Hi Amber, glad this isn't about you! A great write, though, about love lost. Maybe it being ex-lax was a blessing i.e. a good way to rid the toxic build up.. there's a reason for everything, at least that's what they keep saying, but who are they? :] thank you for sharing this channeled piece...

Yes, love can be blind..it is human nature...glad you were compelled to finish this as it is full of emotions...and it is never worth taking a life,,but demonstrates how powerful hurt is.

A poem suggesting a naive love betrayed, pain and tortured fragile moments with and end with an absurd twist, like a sadistic demon intervening with a gallows humor at the expense of a wringing soul in anguish just for get itself a laugh.
That channeling was its way here tell us that a soul is not in peace, yet.

Nice work, Amber...too much dung on life's roads clogs the senses...channeling and flushing it out...Tender Mercy On My Soul is both past life sequences and prophetic...Nostradamus style latrine and Amber Moonstone camp privy...I see a tent for two and a campfire and smoldering fragrant herbs...don't forget the e-coli bacteria water pills...rain poncho and some drinking spirits...be well...

Love,
Sage
