Karma

A lung cancer victim
warns of the effects of smoking
Old and tied to a breathing machine
brought tears to my eyes.

I was brought back to my research
for the Karena series.
During the many hours finding information
the key component of life then, was tobacco.

The English discovered the New World,
and stole land and secrets from the Natives.
They wanted to raise tobacco
for profit in order to keep their Mother Land content.

Tobacco was grown and developed
during the beginning of our country.
It was the greed of the white man,
to control this product for profit.

the Native Americans had the perfect
tobacco crop and the white man wanted
to duplicate it and make it better.
They were forced to commit horrendous

acts of violence and destruction
all for a plant that would later
destroy mankind's health.
Now that is karmic payback, isn't it!

 (During the early years,  tobacco,  was in a much purer state, now, in the present time, manufacturing, additives and carcinogens, are the culprits of the cancer causing effects of smoking.)
