As Deborah says below, even in the midst of a crowd or even being (in a hard place) with a significant other, there is no greater degree of aloneness sometimes. But the sense of being on one's own when the desire is for company - especially that of the 'special one' - is equally tough. Such a clear and concise precision and profundity to this, Amber.
