Wax Seals
Of trysts and treasure, in love and lust
Bound by duty, decayed to dust.
Of secret issue and hidden kin
In privied writ and denied sin...
...lie link and shadow, wraith in gene,
Disavow, abhor, reject...obscene;
Share little claim and lesser wealth,
Repudiate contact, to lust in stealth.
Is heredity lost, and infamy found
When lying scripts in blasphemy sound
A wax-sealed warning, of faithless cause,
To brief the righteous ’gainst unjust laws?
Daring token penance in death and fears,
A child’s tortured tongue and tears.
In violence expunges, vociferously dinned,
Forgive me, Mother...for I have sinned...
