A thought about being a dad.

Look what I got for Fathers Day

I woke up early and to my surprise a great shiny object was before my eyes!....

I couldnt believe the size of the thing...It was enormous and shiny ........ just like bling.

I fired it up and to my delight the sound it made almost gave me a fright!

I was touched that my loved ones had cared so much to buy me that bbq that I had wanted so much.

I thought about gifts and the good feeling inside...I was so moved that I almost cried.

Then it dawned on me that the gift was not real.

The true gift of fatherhood nobody could steal.

I thought of my dad and it made me sad; that I could never know him or show him the way that I feel.

In a moment of pain I would never remain, too long to scar my thoughts.

I gaze up at the picture of my unborn son and think about what is to be.

Of endless summer days at the beach, with laughter and melting ice creams.

I promise myself that I will be there and fulfill the ultimate dreams!

It wont be long and I must be strong to remain true to the beautiful plan.

I suppose deep inside, the truth is known; that's what it means to be a man!
