Dedicated to a friend with cancer

Tuff Harmonica Whales Guitar strums Pitch and Rhythm Beating to it’s own Drum First to rise Last to rest The bar now raised At her tempo’s request Discretely disguising The soft interior All fear aside Tuff exterior Making mocking music Of this world’s terrors Your song and smile A brave look in the mirror Never the victim Defying natures violence Brilliance in the dark Laughter in the silence

I love the blusey cadence of this lyrical poem, as a guitar strummer and singer myself it is easy to see the world when looking out over humanity. Great write.
