This makes me weep, Bernice. It captures and releases the child within and sets them on a pedestal in the midst of their own adult world and speaks of redeeming the fracture that so many of us experience in life, resultant from the hard-knocks we can receive along the way. This is particularly moving, perhaps, for those who were never affirmed in the value of their personhood and being as children, and have walked as wounded little ones all their lives. Lot's of poets can delivery this message half-heartedly yet they seem to be stingy with others and themselves (that 'ol Narcissus flower poping up in our garden again) BUT you have decided to open up and bloom and the unusual thing about your poetry is the unusual blooms of images that grow in YOUR garden! I've done the same thing in music but because it is wordless I have no way yet to share it!
