What took you so long at attempting Haiku, Bernice? Ahhh...you feared you wouldn't be as good as you are! Fear not more, friend. It's great.
Yellow may be associated with aging, but it's also the color of self-confidence (maybe the latter comes with aging :o) Good poem for Mother

Like Charlie said... yellow is associated with our sister... I, too, had never thought of it being associated with aging, but I can see the progression of the "seasons" of our lives in your poem. I love that you used the color to emphasize that. The photo fits perfectly with the poem as well. And the poem... in general... superb! :~)

Funny-- your footnote. I always associated yellow with happiness, sunshine, and my favoritest sister in the whole world (named...), because it's her favorite color. I also associate it with warmth, glow, and light and truth. It never even occurred to me that it's also an archetype for aging and autumn-- never. Weird. But in spite of all of that, I love your haiku. Ku-ku-kachoo! (and you're good at it too...) --Charlie

Clever Bernice. WEll yellow is not a color i can wear, but I didn't know it was associated with age and aging. Now I really don't want to wear it :-) I must say that I do like very soft shades of yellow though, but still can't wear them with my skin coloring.
