the edge

Poem Artwork

razor sharp and beautiful
determined and directed
right to the edge
with steadfast force
opening the precipice

his ship set sail
salt stained his face
he'd been there before
and always had retreated

i looked at Gaia
she looked at me
every divine purpose
had come from heaven

she formed her lips
like a kiss and asked me
do the same
a wink, a grin, we exhaled
and blew a gale wind
