Puddle Reflection

You don’t know me, never took the time
I’m one of many sugar granules used to
Sweeten your drink
***************************

I’m standing, cold and shaking like a weak
Icicle ready to fall

Drip, drip, dripping on the ground until
I am nothing more than a puddle.

Step, stomp, and splash your foot through me
As you walk by, perhaps cleansing your shoe.

Go on; pass by this dissolved nuisance, but before
You do, stop a moment and look into me and
See your reflection. Tell me what you see as I
Evaporate into the clouds and come down on you
Like lightening.

I love this write, Mele! But like Ron, I had to stare at the pic to figure it out. At first I thought it was, termite eaten wood! LOL Then... I realized it was the puddle! LOL Loved this poem, as always, precious! (((honihoni)))

Marilyn, lighting may flash and thunder roar, but your heart is to gentle to strike
no matter the provocation. Resist and you will find justice soon. The hurt will dissolve and the pain vanish and new reflections heralding the Spring will enter your heart bringing happiness and joy. In friendship and understanding ... I am still Bill
