The Place Where I Dream

No matter what’s going on in life, sitting here always mellows me.

This place, this magnificent part of earth where I can unwind while
the salty sea mist sprinkles my face.

Long lazy slow motion stretches, I awaken and think to myself, it’s still
here.

I can lounge like this forever and let the scents and sounds take me to far off
places.

Imagining that I can effortlessly swim like birds glide through the blue skies.

I close my eyes, then open them again to reassure myself that this sight still
exists.

It does; so smiling while I dream my dreams, I sigh deeply and realize
that this is the far off place I’ve been dreaming of.

Such astounding beauty where it shimmers in the sun and meets the horizon.
