Sibling rivalry can be intense, and a look at nature's plan with all us chicks fighting in the nest for food from mama's beak, it's not hard to see why.

You're right, Bonnie, if there's a chance to repair any old grievances or hurts, a person should try their best to amend
and apologize to anyone in their past who they've knowingly
treated badly.

This was a beautiful, caring and loving write! My Mama never would say that she was sorry about anything, she reasoned that if she could relive the event, she would do it the same way, so there was no reason to say, " I'm Sorry". LOVE! SC

This is something that not only those of us who have moved on thru our years should read....but... for those who are young as well...to stop the pain that is inflicted; innocent or not...and to perhaps...reinvent their path ... saying I'm sorry is not easy...but if we can tell it to ourselves over and over...we should be able to say it to someone it matters! I think we all have made mistakes or wronged someone in our lifetimes and if we can have the opportunity to say we are sorry it is a lovely thing but if not knowint in our hearts that we are truly sorry is the next best thing.

This hit home to me today...but sadly, sometimes...even I'm sorry isn't enough. And the friend that I long to renew ties with will not listen to me repeated pleas of sorrow. We shared so many wonderful times... I believe that in order to forgive, there must (at least in this case) be the willingness for both parties to accept their responsibility for a friendship falling apart. And...ultimately, there must be a willingness to forgive and forget.
