Our Own Ed Elected Cupid

Oh our Ed never wanted to be Santa but did want to provide.

A very special unique gift to those who lost their precious pride.

After much deliberation and arguments and because of a hanging chad.

A very delightful position was given to this unusually unlucky lad.

He was given wings, a bow and plenty of arrows for him to use.

He became our dear Cupid Ed so he could take away our blues.

At first his shots went everywhere and he couldn’t find his mark.

But then as he became more accurate & experienced it became a lark.

He shot many dogs and cats and they became joined as one.

Oh how funny it was to see our dear Cupid Ed was having fun.

Many hilarious and unusual couples were created by Cupid Ed.

He thought outside the box even if it brought delightful dread.

 
In one crazy moment he even joined a little mouse and cat.
It lasted but a short time and that was the end of that.

He created pairs which seemed impossible and no one could understand.

One being a big fish in water the other a woman who stood on land.

She would sit by the ocean to kiss and hug her scaly mate.

Yesterday it would have been different, he would have been on her plate.

Cupid Ed joined a man with many things even an angry Grizzly Bear.

Although this man never slept with her because he wouldn’t dare. 

Cupid Ed’s unions produced lots of attention and lots of joyful chuckles.

But lost his job when he created a love affair between socks and gold belt buckles.
