Cupid's Powerful Shot

There was a big fight goin on between to old neighbors,

Murdle and Cecil true enemies both hated the neighbor next door.

Oh how they fought and battled, but neither could remember why.

They just kept outdoing each other and would till the other would die.

Little Cupid heard about the fighting & decided to see what he could do.

So he sat in a tree and watched the crazy antics of these fanatical two.

As Little Cupid sat there and watched, he was appalled by what he saw.

They threw the lot at each other, garbage, knives and food that was raw.

He was very high up, so bent over a little bit to get a much better peak.

When one of the knives flew through the air and ended up in his cheek.

Little Cupid would have left then but was so intrigued by what he saw.

So he just sat there mesmerized & wondered, “Where the heck is the law?”

They had a deep seeded hate for each other, a hate that went to the core.

Cupid wondered if they were always so vile or was it different a time before.

So he decided to do his homework and find out what really went wrong.

He would find the unbridled truth and it didn’t matter where or how long.

It seems they were both once in love and the love affair turned out bad.

Murdle was left at the churches’ alter, thinking Cecil was a genuine cad.

But Murdle never learned or knew that Cecil was very sick in bed.

Cecil’s fever was high, he lost his voice and wished that he were dead.

Therefore, Little Cupid decided these two needed a powerful shot.

He took great aim, shot his arrow and it’s just what they both got.

The war ended instantly when Murdle jumped the blasted fence.

Murdle laid a gigantic kiss on Cecil’s lips and Cecil gave no resist-ance.
