O’ Malley, Our Little Leprechaun
Our little Leprechaun sat on a humongous rock to think.
After loosing all his treasured gold he was almost on the brink.
O’Malley was his name, a very definite stong, fine Irish name.
But he was forlorn, feeling that nothing would ever be the same.
That little waif he met gave all his gold to everyone in town.
He thought for days and finally had an idea that was sound.
He had to get back his gold, but it had to be returned agreeably.
O’ Malley could talk the moss off a blarney stone very easily.
So he went to town that afternoon to start a bit of blarney.
Spreading gossip throughtout the town, things that were carney.
O’Malley said he could double riches in just a short time.
And he promised huge returns but this was his blarney line.
Before he knew what was happening, the crowds did appear.
Carrying all the gold they could hold and that they held so dear.
Please make our gold double O’Malley, you can have it all.
They couldn’t see his devious smiles, for they were much too tall.
Once again O’Malley’s gold was in his gigantic pot.
It was even more than he had before, he took the total lot.
Now the town was poorer than it ever had been before.
And as O’Malley dug his whole, he was happy to the core.
Who cares about those people, they’re such a greedy lot.
They have no right to have my gold or anything I’ve got.
The towns people started realizing that this was but a scam.
And realized much too late, their bacon was in O’Malley’s pan.
