there is no other to bare the blame,
for the pain she caused by her sin
because she did this deed for him.
To be lost for the work to see
is this the way it should be?
By this single thoughtless choice,
this child now had no voice.
A heart rending cry into the night
softly released into the air in flight,
for the lost soul not in the frame
by the one who would have given the name.
With regret and heartfelt sorrow
she knows there are no tomorrows,
but now she stops and forlornly stares
at the empty space the frame now bares.
