The Open Invitation

The day swiftly changed from sun-rays playful sways to chilled winds that shadowed darkness into midday. I felt the hues of blue blanket my soul, the ground beneath me opened its invitation of moist soil. Mesmerized, my thoughts soared with memories, moments of joy scented with perfection, our love. Today was as it should be, a reflection mirrored, a shattered portrait, the death of a sparrow. Shades of blue darken, the open invitation smiled, empty with sorrow my eyes, they silently cried. Tracey,
This one hit home so much today!
"Shades of blue darken,
the open invitation smiled,
empty with sorrow
my eyes, they silently cried."
I would love to say more, but I can't right now, just going to tell you
that I could feel this poem!
