I spoke- My words of love, Hoping they would Find their way Into her heart. Instead- They were caught up By an indifferent wind, And scattered carelessly About her feet. She left- Not knowing The contents of my heart, I stayed- Picking up the pieces. My words- Have long since Been collected, And I will use them again- When the wind is right.

If at first you don't succeed, try, try again. However, in the case of a woman if you words are scorned by her and tossed to the wind, it's unlikely that coming back and trying the same words over again will ever work except in poetry once she has made up her mind.
