Ouch! I only wish you had chosen some other vessel for your dreams. Stars are certainly a strong life force throughout the universe, but they are nothing but extremely hot gas and, in this case, not far away and twinkling through the atmosphere to be like forever in that same sky every night and not going away, just cool and inviting.

A brilliant symbolic image superbly executed: simple, understated, and yes beautiful. Among other things, a poem needs to be satisfying to the reader who is glad to have read the poem. This one truly is satisfying on many levels.
