Poem Artwork

You-nique

We all are one of a kind
Find a counterfeit if you dare
You’re a prototype ~ an original
And no one else could ever compare

You are you-nique
with exceptional points-of-view
Learn to love and appreciate
The person living within you

We all have different goals
your purpose is Not mine
Emancipate your intellect
Let your gifts ~ your life ~ define

I’ll respect you
You respect me
For we all are Special
I-N-D-I-V-I-D-U-A-L-L-Y

What would life be
If we were all the same
Couldn’t distinguish one from the other
Just as well have the same name

Where would be the challenge
For our minds to Create and grow
Having friends would be so useless
We’d learn nothing from what they know

Let’s appreciate our diversity
Don’t judge it wrong or right
We’ve all something good to offer
Blue ~ Transparent ~ Black and White

I won’t compete with you
Don’t try to be like me
Let’s work hard to discover
Our own C-A-P-A-B-I-L-T-I-E-S

This is something that should be shared in elementary, middle and high schools. Maybe then there would be a brighter hope for tomorrow.

God bless you. Kathy
