Inner soul searching

The Mountain In Me .

Trying so hard to climb,
a mountain in my mind
of things I left behind,
before I found my way .

The inroads all were blocked ,
to reach the mountain top
but I could never stop finding a way each day .

The steps up to the sky,
took me away up high
where I remember why
I left the world behind .

In the valleys of time,
when the sun could not shine ,
I knew I had to climb
that mountain in my mind .

With empty miles ahead,
I knelt down and I prayed
and that’s when God had said ,
I will be there with you .

There and then I could see, that someone cared for me
and the mountain in me was a nice place to be .

The shrine within my mind,
is where I go to find
sanctuary in time on the mountain in me .
