i have never read such a more profound piece in my life; i am the daughter of a diabetic father (was just diagnosed last year at the age of 71; he is doing ~GREAT~!), and lost my dear mom to diabetes and complications from open heart surgery 12 years ago, plus i know people with diabetes; very good write!! i, too, hope i never lose my sight (and my sight is already bad enough!!). love, your friend, karen lynn. Wow great write ... really really wonderful ... You always come up with the facts existing in the world ... this is not a problem of an individual ... most suffer from blindness ... and OLD AGE do create lot of such problems ... when we are old and we are looking forward at the smile of the grandkids ... and the lovely ones nearby ... at that stage if we are not able to see the beautiful and wonderful world they are buliding up ... that really hurt at times ...

Linda .... really wonderful ... u really made another wonderful move ..

Fantastic job on this write...too close to home. I am hypoglycemic and I have lost a great deal of my eyesight. My world is blurry but I have more than made up for it.

Hi Linda,
When I was in business I used to employ a number of blind piano tuners,one chap was very clumsy and did a lot of damage,in a fit of temper I sacked him.
His friend came to see me to plead his case,
He asked had I ever truly considered what was was like to be blind,which after a moments consideration I conceded that I had not.
He challenged me to go a week with my eyes taped up,I did not even last a day.
The tuner was back at work next day.
I never again considered sacking a blind person.

Dear poet...I love a diabetic...I hope you never go blind...most of all I hope you never lose who you are...you are ssssoooooooo incredible and fantastic....always be you and free and wild and courageous no matter what happens...diabetic or not.
