IN RECOGNITION FOR MY PASTOR ON
PASTOR APPRECIATION MONTH
A church is not only stained glass
With pews lined all in a row
Its what the church has inside
Its the people that make it grow
God has bestowed a wonderful gift
A Pastor who preaches His word
When opened this gift is priceless
With a voice that needs to be heard
He preaches with love and compassion
Sometimes smiles, sometimes a tear
When I hear his powerful message
Burdens on my heart just disappear
You won't find him only in church
But whereever a need he's there
Be it your home, or hospital room
He'll kneel with you in prayer
Its time we thank this wonderful Pastor
In appreciation for all he's done
For caring about his congregation
For all the souls he's won
We appreciate you, Brother Albert
God sent you to teach us the way
Your love and dedication to us
Means more than mere words can say
Linda, a wonderful tribute to the one who preaches God's word and one who cares for those in attendance. It's so important in life to have a preacher just like you've describe. A great poem!
Some Pastors are more than that, they are truly Sheaphers.

We celebrated our pastors today at my church; the ladies got flowers, and the men, a gift of appreciation. We love our pastors; they are all wonderful! Our church is better in having them! Wonderful tribute to your pastor, and ALL pastors who are spreading God's Word through their works! God bless 'em!

A wonderful tribute my friend, yes a pastor is indeed a shepherd of the flock, when one might stray...he will go that extra mile to bring them back, when one is in pain...he will try to help ease the pain, when one has questions...he provides answers...where would we be without our wonderful pastors? Great write!

What a great tribute, Linda. I'm sure this poem means a lot to your pastor in the month of pastor appreciation. Speaking as a pastor, it's persons like you that make the hard work worth it.
